Arizona Corporation Commission Race Too Close To Call
The race to fill the two open seats on Arizona's public utilities commission remains too close to call. But it appears Republicans have secured control of the Arizona Corporation Commission for another two years.
Republicans Justin Olson and Rodney Glassman are leading, according to the most recent numbers from the Secretary of State's Office posted Tuesday night.
They're fending off challenges by two Democrats — former commissioner Sandra Kennedy and Kiana Sears.
In the backdrop of the race was the renewable energy ballot measure Proposition 127 — favored by the Democrats and opposed by the Republicans.
That measure was defeated soundly.
